Head Pastor

Chad Pollett

Chad is a Missouri native. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University with his bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry and from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with his Master of Divinity degree.

Before joining National Heights Baptist Church as Senior Pastor in August of 2023, he served as pastor in Urich, MO.

He and his wife, Cinasee, were married in 2019. Together, it’s their deepest desire to see the gospel flourish in the community that God has blessed them with.

Chad loves classic cars, adventures, and animals of all shapes and sizes. Chad also aspires to one day make the perfect Philly cheesesteak sandwich.

Youth Director

Micah Gugel

Micah was born here in Missouri. She has been married to her husband, Jason, Since 2003. Together they have 2 children; a daughter, Elizabeth, and a son, Zachary.

Micah began working with the youth department in 2021. At the beginning of 2024 she became the interim youth director having the position confirmed in June 2024.

Micah and Jason strive to help NHBC students further their walk with the Lord. Our mission is to create students who love the Lord & who have a servants heart.

Micah enjoys reading many types of books and loves to cook.

Children's Director

Donna Moore

Donna is originally from Strafford Missouri where she graduated from Strafford High School. Donna married her high school sweetheart in 1981 during her Senior year. Donna, her husband Elston and fur baby Holley, a 10 year old miniature schnauzer, are residents of Springfield.

Donna has been a member of National Heights for over 10 years. She felt a strong call to accept the position of Children’s Director in 2024. She loves kids and wants them to understand what a relationship with God means and wants to make learning about Jesus fun.

Donna is still a kid at heart. She loves animals, art, Refit, Stretching with Scripture, fishing, kayaking, and going to the gym.

Financial Secretary

Jane Brown

Jane was born and grew up not only in Springfield but also in National Heights.

She was baptized at the old East Avenue building and married her husband Bradley at the current National Heights location.

Together she and Bradley have been blessed with two children, Morgan and Marshall, plus a dog and three cats.

Over the years Jane has held different temporary staff positions at National Heights and is at present the Financial Secretary.

She enjoys reading, travel, logic games and listening to true crime podcasts.

Administrative Assistant

Becky Chittenden

Becky has been our Administrative Assistant since January 2019. She spent most of her career as a floral designer. Her love for her church family brought her to this position and continues to use her artistic talents in creating communications through weekly publications and the church’s various signage.

Becky’s greatest joys are her family to which she has two children, their spouses, and her five grandchildren, and serving at National Heights with her church family. Another joy of hers is to share her homemade bread with those she loves.

Recording Secretary

Harriet Arnold

Harriet is married to Ralph and loves being with family, especially the grandchildren. She has been a member of NHBC since she was 9 years old. With a heart for missions, she loves the era of working with teen age girls in Acteens and going on mission trips with them. She enjoys reading, sudoku and working jigsaw puzzles when it snows.
