Everybody likes a discount. When you buy something for 10% less than what you would normally pay, that’s a good thing. The bigger the discount, the better.
Nobody likes a reverse discount. Unfortunately, some companies use this to cut costs; they will sell the box of cereal for the same price, but put less cereal in the box. Some boxes of cereal are so thin, it’s hard to see how they get any flakes in there at all. Nobody likes that.
Malachi describes a day in which the people of God were trying to give a reverse discount to God (Malachi 1:7-8). This Sunday, we will discover ways we can avoid doing the same thing. God deserves our very best!
See you Sunday!
