NHBC Stepping Out is National Heights on mission in our community.  You can participate as an individual, couple, family, or group, and participate in as many ministries as you would like. Ephesians 2:10 tells us ‘we are created to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do’! Our prayer is that when NHBC members are placed in positions of service throughout the community, people will see the face of Jesus, and God will be glorified. Join in –there’s something for everyone! Our community will be blessed, and you will as well, as we put into the action the love we talk about. What a joy to be able to participate together!

Opportunities to Serve:

1) The NHBC Blessing Box is now up and running. The box is located near the Norton entrance to the church parking lot. Items included are non-perishable food items, warm hats, gloves and scarves, paper goods, a notebook for prayer requests, and Bibles, all free for the taking to our community. Please pray as God continues to touch others through this ministry.

UPDATE: The Blessing Box Ministry now has two boxes, one on the church property by the Norton entrance and one at the West Kearney McDonald’s.

2)Diaper Bank of the Ozarks

Diaper Bank of the Ozarks is on target to pass out 1 million diapers to needy families in our area. You can help these families and God’s little ones who can’t speak for themselves by:

  • Volunteering in the office, preparing packets, filing and other clerical-type duties.
  • Donating diapers
  • Sewing cloth diapers for distribution
  • Repackaging large quantities of diapers into smaller amounts to be given to families (this is a position that is primarily seated and can be done with children and youth as well..a great way to serve together and model giving back!)
