I remember when I was in college and the president came to town. A huge crowd gathered at the airport to see Air Force One land. The president got off the plane, shook hands with the mayor, waved at the crowd, got back on Air Force One and continued on his journey.
And the crowd loved it. They had waited out there all day for a five-minute glimpse of the president. I get it. It’s not every day that the leader of the free world visits your town. Even if you didn’t vote for him, it’s worth heading out to the airport.
The shepherds rushed to see something even greater. They went to Bethlehem to see the Savior. This week, we celebrate this extraordinary event, and will read in Revelation 22:17 about the massive news: He’s coming back!
See you Sunday!
