Board games have different names for the place where the game begins. Monopoly has the “Go” square. In Candy Land, you start in the Gingerbread plumb trees. In Clue, Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet and all their friends have their own starting square. Most games simply have a square marked “Start.” That’s a pretty good indication of where the game begins.

The Bible starts in a really good place: In the beginning. This week, we take a look at the importance of that familiar first verse in the Bible, Genesis 1:1.
