Marsha and I decided to take a walk through the neighborhood. It sounded like a great idea, but what we didn’t realize was that a front had moved through the area and the temperature had dropped twenty degrees in the last hour. Our leisurely stroll around the neighborhood turned into an Olympic fast walk around half a block. There wasn’t much time for conversation, which was fine. Our faces were frozen solid by the time we got home.
Still, we have persevered and taken more walks (although now we check the weather before we leave). Walking together provides a great opportunity for conversation. John understood the importance of walking together. Exiled on the Isle of Patmos, John understood the significance of living life in relationship. This week, we look at 1 John 1:3-4, and will discover the value of Christian fellowship (and I don’t just mean cheese potato casseroles).
See you Sunday!
