The word “choice” is used with a variety of connotations. When referring to beef, a “choice” cut is the one you want (which makes me wonder where the meat that wasn’t “choice” ended up). However, according to the good folks at the USDA, “choice” is one level less that “prime” although one grade over “select.” The designations have something to do with the marbling and texture of the meat and where on the cow the meat originated, which usually is a good indicator of the quality of the meat.
God’s choice is not based on quality. This week, we look at Deuteronomy 7:7-9, where we find out that God’s choice is based on love.
See you Sunday!
