National Heights has a family of ministries designed to minister to the needs of your family.
What to Expect
When you come to NHBC, expect to find friendly people, inspiring worship, and an opportunity to take your next step with Christ. Whether you are brand new to the faith, have been serving the Lord for years, or are just beginning your faith journey, we have ministries to help you move forward in your walk with God.
Directions
NHBC is located just north of I-44 on National Avenue, close to the intersection of Norton and National.
Parking
You may enter our parking lot from convenient driveways on National Avenue or from Norton Road. Guest Parking is located in the center of the west parking lot. Our Guest Information Center is located just inside the Central Entrance.
Childcare Information
NHBC loves kids! Our Nursery and Preschool area (birth -Pre-K) is located just inside the South Entrance. Friendly workers will help you check in your child and record your instructions concerning care.
All children check-in through our childhood ministries Welcome Desk located just inside the South Entrance. Join us Sundays and Wednesdays for exciting ministries for your child.
NHBC Heritage
National Heights enjoys a rich history and continues to celebrate its wonderful heritage. Founded in July 1889 as the third Baptist church in Springfield, the church has experienced a blessed ministry. Formerly known as the East Avenue Baptist Church, the building was relocated to its present location in 1979 and adopted the National Heights name.
